INTERESTED IN BECOMING A POLL WORKER? If you are interested in working at the polls, please contact our office at 643-5226. Each poll has a clerk, inspectors, equipment operator & a deputy. The pay scale varies for each position according to the level of responsibility. You must be able to perform the following in order to work at the polls: * Receive training before each election. (3 to 7 hours depending on the position.) * Must be able to work from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. * Physical requirements include standing, bending, stooping, lifting @ 30 lbs, normal vision & manual/physical dexterity. * Read & write the English language * Possess the skills to use an alphabetized index in the precinct register.
